{{Shopping for Bridesmaid Dresses}}

>> Wednesday, September 30, 2009

This weekend we are shopping for bridesmaid dresses! We are planning on having a "girls day out" complete with lunch & wine. I have been looking at several designs and there are some gorgeous dresses out there for my girls to choose from but I have some new favorites from David's Bridal new fall selections. Because my wedding will be in March and in the evening we are opting for long elegant dresses with pashminas (one of my gifts to them).
I love some of the new dresses in the DB line, the are beautiful yet affordable ranging from $135 to $155 at the most. I wanted to keep the price as affordable as possible because with the economy the way it is, I don't want to put my girls in a crunch or make them pay a ridiculous amount of money for a dress they will probably only wear once. Enjoy!

{{{MY DRESS IS HERE!!!!!}}}

>> Tuesday, September 29, 2009

Ok so after the horrible week I had last week I knew there would be a light at the end of the tunnel! My consultant called me around 1:30pm yesterday to say that SHE IS HERE! My beautiful lovely dress is ready for me to try her on. I'm so excited but nervous because I got a custom neckline...I'm hoping that I love it! I will go by the boutique today to just look at it but promised my sister that I would wait until she can go with me on Saturday to try it on.
You ladies will all have to wait until after the wedding to see the dress because of my nosey friends and family :).

Bad Blogger w/ Less than 6 Months to go!!!

>> Monday, September 28, 2009

Sorry I have been such a BAD BAD bride blogger but life has been beyond hectic with work, planning & sick children!! The planning has been going ok, I have just about booked and contracted everything with the exception of the catering, we just can't decide anything, but we need to because we are now LESS THAN 6 MONTHS AWAY, WHAT?!? where did the time go?? I am trying not to think about the timeline too much because when I do I get a little freaked out.

I'm a little depressed today because I can't wear my ring, I did something to my little (pinky) finger and knuckle so my hand is swollen and bruised...being the clumsy girl that I am I can't remember hurting myself (I'm guessing it's from my violent football Sunday's, all the clapping and punching things)...which happens all the time. Hopefully the swelling will go down so I can put her back on my finger!

I promise to try my best to blog more, I do have a few D.I.Y. projects I have finished and will share them really soon. Until then happy planning ladies!!

The Inspiration Pillow

You know I love a good challenge and I love the thought of saving some money. I will be having two ring bearers because I have two nephews and choosing one was just out of the question. I love unique and fancy things but paying $100 for two ring bearer pillows was not in my budget by any means. I made two of these gorgeous 9 x 9 in. pillows with some upholstery chenille fabric that I purchased from Jo-Ann Fabric (was $24.99 per yard and was 50% off and I only purchased 12 in.) for $4.43. I also purchased a yard of Champagne Dupioni Silk that was not on sale for $14.99 a yard good thing I only needed a 1/2 yard. What will you be using for your ring bearers? Will you stick with traditional or go with something unique?

:::Flower Girls:::

>> Monday, September 14, 2009

Sorry, I have been such a bad, bad blogger lately. Life has been hectic, and the next four weeks will remain hectic until we have our 2nd Annual Women's Health Beauty Life Expo.

I have finally decided on what my flower girlies (my two daughters) will be wearing. I looked at about 80 dresses to be honest. I had a harder time trying to find their dresses than I did finding my own. I am in LOVE with their dress, it has the champagne and lace touch with a tulle ball gown skirt, it's just precious. I found it at David's Bridal, and it is Style #H1173, it can also come in solid white. They are going to be so stinkin' cute, I can't wait until they arrive, the girls are so excited to get their "princess" dresses.

They will be carrying ivory carnation kissing balls with chocolate ribbon.
