The Floor Monogram::Will You?

You all know I'm a bride on budget like most brides are nowadays with the economy the way it is. But as my planning goes on I have found that I have done very good, no GREAT on budget. I've done lots of negotiating and have come well under budget on almost everything from my dress to the photographer. So I've been toying with splurging on something, and this something is a Dance Floor Light Monogram. It is beyond gorgeous and not to mention elegant. It can range in price from $200 up to $500 depending on the difficulty of the design. Now, I would stay on the lower end with just our initials but I keep going over it in my head and saying, "Is it really worth it?". I have plenty of time to make a decision and FI likes the idea, so we will just have to see.

Do you have something that you are splurging on?

  2. I love this idea. We as well as on a small budget and it just wasnt working out untill we looked into it more. Does your venue have a lighting package. Ours does and my wedding planner found a great deal to have the slot made and we are just going to insert it into one of the pinspot lights at the venue if we decide to use one. This way we are only paying for the gel thing to be made and not a whole lighting package.

  3. Our wedding package has an option to upgrade with it.. its $300 for a GOBO on the dance floor and 8 colored uplights. So we are doing it but only because of that. See how much it would be to make your own.

  4. I love the floor monogram but alas we will not be having one of these unless our venue offers something. I probably should check on that!

    I would say our big splurge has been the flowers and the catering.

  5. I would love to do this! But, I think we will only be able to spend on some uplighting around the room, & one of those attachable floor monograms.

  6. I love the idea of the dance floor monograms. If I was a) having a dance floor and b) able to afford one, I would so do it! My big splurge was our photography.

    P.S. - Go check out my blog...there's a present waiting for you!

  8. I LOVE floor monograms. But if I am not able to do some by myself we're not gonna have it. Because for us its not worth to spend the money. If everybody is dancing you're not able to see it anyways. If I could spend money without thinking about it, I would do it :-)

    If I can afford it, I will definitely do it.
