Boutonnieres:: Traditional or Modern?
>> Tuesday, May 26, 2009
I have already decided what type of boutonniere the guys will be sporting at the wedding and I didn't stick with the traditional flower. I wanted something different and funky. Plus I couldn't find any brown flowers, lol! So FI liked the simple fiddlehead fern with a little greenery to bring in our colors. Here are some gorgeous traditional bouts and some not-so traditional ones. I don't think you could go wrong either way, and bouts add such an elegance to the grooms attire. So will you go traditional or go with something more modern?

I am totally using fern curls in my flowers! LOVE them!
I'm loving the non-traditional ones!
how cool! i think we're going semi-traditional with the bouts, but we might funk it up a little with a fern curl (or "monkey tail" as one florist called them!).
I like your attitude - to have fun with it! I'm trusting our florist with the bouts. We are probably somewhere in between traditional and modern... :)
I looooove the fiddle heads in a boutonniere. So great!
I love the bout with quail feathers (at least I think those are quail feathers)! It is so unique!
I guess we are going more traditional with a non-traditional edge.
The fern curl bouts are also adorable! I am sure whatever you pick out will look amazing!
We're making our own.. so maybve something a little more traditional. What do your look like?
