I am so happy to share our E-pictures with you! Jeremy from Enigma Pro was just the BEST!!! He got some beautiful shots, I couldn't be happier! I will be using these pictures for our photo guestbook (more about that later this week). I won't bore you with my words any longer...on with the goods :)

Details...

Yesterday was the day of our e-pics shoot and it started GREAT, I woke up to partly sunny skies and it was warm but not hot. I checked the weather, because we had to travel almost two hours to get to our picture destination. We had a 5% chance of rain all day, I was happy. We got dressed, and got on the road. The ride was GORGEOUS we were on back country roads and the mountain views that we saw were truly breathtaking!

We were about 15 mins. from our destination when it started to rain and I mean it was a down pour, I was so upset. When we arrived at the venue I called the photographer and he was AWESOME, he said we would make it work and get some great shots. The rain did let up enough for us to get some great pictures and even some rain shots with a super cool umbrella. My FH and I made the best of it and stayed positive. I think our patience helped because the rain finally did stop and then we headed downtown to get some "city" shots. FH and I had a great time and our photographer Jeremy couldn't have been any better. He was so outgoing and understanding and even shot for an extra 30 mins. Thanks Jeremy, we had a blast. I will post pics as soon as they arrive, thanks for all the encouragement and kind words, you guys are the best :)

It's E-pic Time!!!!

Good Morning all!! Today is the day for our e-pics and I am beyond excited and still a little nervous. I didn't sleep alot because I kept thinking about it. I had that feeling like a kid who has a fieldtrip at school and can't sleep the night before because of the excitement! Well I just wanted to pop in, I'm off to get my hair flat ironed and my toes painted. I'll fill you in on all the details tomorrow.

Rained Out & Break Out...Long Story!

As I mentioned last Thursday, Friday was the date for our e-pics. Well guess what? It didn't happen! First of all we had a chance for rain and we knew that. It's kind of been raining non-stop for the past 3 weeks or so. We also had to commute 2 hours to our locations and we had to keep in constant contact with our photographer to keep an eye on the weather. I took the day off work so that I could get everything done, like nails, hair, etc. I did get to sleep in thank goodness! I woke up, fixed breakfast and around 10am I started to get ready to go get my nails done. I started to put my make-up on a notice this silver dollar size dark circle on my left cheek. I screamed and said a few curse words and immediately washed my face because I thought it was the make-up. After washing my face a few times I noticed that it just wasn't going away. Like the girl that I am I started crying! My FH came ithe bathroom and asked what was the matter and he noticed it. He is so sweet because he hugged me and said it wasn't that noticeable (but believe me it was!). In the midst of my breakdown, my cell phone rings and it's the photographer telling me that its raining and if we wanted to take a chance or re-schedule. I told him my skin story and he said he would email me to reschedule. Turns our that the skin issue was from me using a different acne medication that my skin had a reaction to. UGH!!!!! So there you have it Friday was full of DRAMA but I did enjoy the rest of my day off and hope to reschedule very soon to take our pics. Thanks for listening!!! E-Pics Tomorrow!!!

So tomorrow is a huge day for FH and I! The both of us are nervous and kind of worried. We hate getting our pictures taken, not to mention I am not photogenic at all! I love to take other peoples pictures but I will run far away from a camera when I see someone else with one! I'm getting my hair done this afternoon, make-up will be done by me because I think I do a pretty good job, I'm getting my nails & toes done in the morning. The day is going to be filled with fun & worry! Any tips for FH & I? As far as the outfits go...remember the outfits I showed you a while back here? Well neither of those worked out because after I purchased them and tried them on I hated both outfits on me so I went with something different. I guess you will see after the pics are done. Another countdown is on!!!

I have finally booked our free engagement session (Enigma Pro). I am both excited and a little nervous. Nervous because I hate the way I look in pictures, they are almost always bad and I look HUGE! LOL. But with my insecurities aside I am still looking forward to it. My FH and I have decided that we will not include our girls in our e-pics, we have to travel 2.5 hours to get to the location that the photographer suggested. We feel that they will get tired and cranky by the time we get there. I'm going next week for a make-up and hair trial for the e-session. I will post pics next week. Children and E-Pics

As you know my FH and I will be taking e-pics sometime in the spring. We have been together for 10 years now and we have a cute little family which includes our two little girls. My FH and I had a discussion about whether to include our daughters in our e-pics. We think that this is kind of our time, we rarely have pictures of just us. I think that we could make it a date thing, get lunch and have our pics taken without restrictions, like if we want to have some touchy feely pics. Some people are saying that we should include the girls in our e-pics. I think that e-pcs should look like e-pics not a family portrait. I love my girls don't get me wrong but we just had family pictures taken at Christmas so I am not sure that it's necessary to have them in our e-pics. What would you do if you were in my shoes? We have made the decision not to include them in e-pics but I still want to hear your opinions.

::E-Pic Outfit Ideas::

I mentioned here that we won a super fantastic engagement session with a really talented photography company. While I admire their photography we have come to the conclusion that we like two other photographers in our area better. We are now in the process of making a decision between the two of them.

Although we didn't choose Enigma Pro as our wedding day photographer, we still want to take the free e-pic session that we won from them. Since we won the contest I have been going over and over in my head about what I would wear. I love the e-pics with the brides in cute cocktail dresses but honestly that is just not me. I love my pants, I'm not a skirt or dress girl at all. I do want to have something dressy and sexy so check out what I have come up with and let me know YAY or NAY!
