Table Numbers
>> Thursday, February 19, 2009
When it comes to table numbers I have been having some trouble making a decision. There are so many cool and unique ideas out there. I do find myself gravitating toward the traditional table numbers, which just goes so well with our classic theme. My FH does love Star Wars and I thought about incorporating different names from the movies as our table numbers. My issue with that is how will I do that and keep it classy? I really want to incorporate things that he likes into the wedding as well, but still keep with our "classic elegance" theme. I found some great ideas online and thought that maybe I can use names like "Darth Vader" with a number but use the same fonts what we are using throughout our wedding. What do you think? What does your table numbers look like? Will you be sticking with tradition or going with something that is sentimental to you and your FH?

Hi- I just came across your Blog.. SO far I am finding a lot of stuff that is interesting. :) I just started my own blog, i hope you check it out.
And my favorite would have to be the first picture. But I really like all of them. lol!!! They look really nice!
I love the Darth Vader idea.
I am giving you an award over on my blog today!
love these!
We had postcards that had the table number on one side & a silly baby picture of one of us on the other! My mom did them, so I had no idea which pictures she used. My hubby & I walked to each table and laughed hysterically w/ our guests. (my mom picked the most embarrasing pictures possible). A lot of our guest kept the table # cards!
BTW: I gave you an award today :o)
star wars table numbers sound awesome. can't wait to see how they turn out.
I love the second one! I think it is perfect for your setting!
The last one is becoming really popular, my weddding coordinator (the one from the reception hall) suggests this but I like having something to hold. They also said that even if you name your tables that it is best to also have a number on there, it makes it much easier for the waitstaff since they are in and out, if you have any special orders, etc.
These are all terrific though! Mayeb there are some less obvious Star Wars names? Like places in the movies that sound fun and funky that only the real Star Wars fanatics would recognize? it would get people talkin!
These are all beautiful! We haven't started ours just yet - there is so much to consider and I am obsessive so it may be awhile...haha
Oh gosh I love allll of these, honestly. How can such a simple decision be so tough?
I'm not planning a wedding, but those are all pretty gorgeous.
And while Star Wars might not be classy... it's at least classic, right? Do the 1970s count? :)
Great idea. I have not decided yet. My wedding is at a racetrack/horse farm so we are having horseshoes on a lot of things. I am thinking about having Kentucky Derby winners for our table numbers. We are both from KY and our wedding in in Lexington. I agree with making it personal. That really makes a wedding special.
They are beautiful! All of them!
I was watching a wedding show {one of the many!} and came across a wedding that did their favorite surf spots... I ran this by my bf since he surfs and we love the beach, and he loved the idea. So we might do that!
They are all beautiful!
The 4ht one is my favorite. I like the idea of having the number written...
