100 POSTS!!! & Shoe Drama...

>> Tuesday, April 28, 2009

Hey, Hey, Hey this my 100th post and that's a huge milestone for me and I hate for it to be a drama post but I'm fuming! I went this past Friday to finally get fitted for my dress and order it. I took my shoes that I was so in love with. I get to the boutique get the measure dress on and my shoes and guess what, they HURT and when I say HURT I mean, the balls of my feet killed me and my back was in pain as well. I don't get it because I wear hills daily, all day long but these were just unbearably uncomfortable. I was both sad and mad because I really liked those shoes and I just wanted order my dress. The consultant asked if I just wanted to get measured and wear flats. Don't get me wrong I love flats I wear those some days but on the day of I want to feel tall and sexy. My man is 6'2" and I'm 5'4" so I like to wear hills so he doesn't have to pick my up to kiss me, haha!

So anyway the search was on for a new pair of more more comfy shoes. I actually found a pair that had great reviews for comfort and were on sale, YAY! They are from Jessica Bennett and is called the "Henley," they were originally $120 and I got them for $69.99. Hopefully when they arrive they fit, are comfy and a match my dress, cross your fingers or I will be hunting again. Luckily I can return the others because Macy's has 180 day returns.

Buyers Remorse:: FOR SALE

>> Monday, April 20, 2009

Good Monday morning to you all! Goodness the weekend just goes by so fast. I am having total buyers remorse with this bracelet. I purchased it about two months ago and thought that it was the bracelet I wanted until I went shopping this weekend and actually found my dream bracelet. So now I have this bracelet that needs a good home. The bracelet is around 8" long and the brooch/clasp is just a little less than 1". I'm not sure of the exact bead size but they range from medium(average) to large (not ginormous). I lost the receipt so I cannot return it not do I want store credit. So if you ladies are in need of a gorgeous pearl bracelet made by Carolee and purchased from Belk here is your chance. I originally paid $55 for this bracelet but will take offers. If you are interested please email me your best offer to mydreamring (at) yahoo (dot) com.

Introducing my Bridal Party...

>> Monday, April 13, 2009

Good Morning everyone, I hope you had a nice Easter. Since I have finally delivered my last "Will you be my Bridesmaid?" card, I would like to introduce you to my wedding party.

{ {Matron of Honor}} Meet my sister Tina. She is the polar opposite of me but we balance each other and I couldn't imagine choosing anyone but her as my Matron of Honor. She is so funny and I love her, I know she will take the wedding stress away with her personality.

{{Bridesmaid}} This is Kira, one of my very BEST friends, we met our freshmen year of high school and have been friends since. We lost contact for about two years but reconnected just last year and I'm so glad we did because I forgot how much I just cherish her.

{{Bridesmaid}} Meet Lyn my cousin and friend. I was in her wedding about ten years ago so I had to return the favor and make her my bridesmaid. She is like my sister, knows how to have a good time. (She's going to kill me for using this pic, but she refused to take another one yesterday, so I gave her fair warning :)
{{Bridesmaid}} This is my other cousin Marquita, I consider her my other sister because she has lived with us since she was about 9 years old. She is the quiet mouse of the bunch who will settle for whatever, so she will be super easy to dress, lol!

So there you have it, my bridal party. They are a great group of ladies and I love them all and can't wait to see what kind of fun we can all get into on my journey to the alter!!!!

Smelling Yummy...

>> Thursday, April 9, 2009

I LOVE a good smelling perfume....something light yet romantic and not over-powering. I have four perfumes that I just can't live without, well I can but you know what I mean! Ralph Lauren Romance...Always Yours, Island by Michael Kors, Chance by Chanel & Burberry Weekend, all of these perfumes smell yummy but what will I wear on wedding day? I really can't decide, I love the look of the Ralph Lauren, the bottle would make a great photo and the name spells out love, wedding and all of the above. But my favorite smell on my skin is the Burberry Weekend, and my FH loves when I wear that. So what would you do? Should I perpetrate and bring along the bottle of Romance just for picture reason and wear Burberry?

What's your wedding day scent going to be?
