Busy, Bee!

It's been a while since my last check in, sorry! I work for a broadcasting station that houses five, yep that's 5 radio stations, so I get a little busy sometimes. Anywhoo, I worked on another monogram, I love it! I have since purchased 5 cylinder vases for our centerpieces, we need 12, but I found them at a discount store for $7 and I will just keep checking for more to come in.

Change of Heart................

After visiting a wedding venue this weekend I have found that I want to change my color palette. It won't be a huge change but the new colors will be black, white, and lime green. I will share more about the venues that we visit later. But for now here is our new color palette and monograms.

Our Monograms......

Our monograms were made by me, thanks to BriannaNichole! Her Adobe Photoshop tutorials are amazing and very easy to follow. I love the fact that she has screen shots along with samples of the process. I have had Adobe Photoshop CS for about a year and this is the first time that I have actually used it to create graphics.

My Color Palette.....for now!

Since getting engaged I have had a lot of thought about color. Since our wedding is in March I knew I wanted a palette with green in it. I don't paticularly care for emerald green but I love lime green. So for now our color palette is Chocolate Brown, Champagne & Lime Green. Here is a color palette I threw together to give you an idea of colors.

It Starts With My Dream Ring......

I'm Jeana and this is my journey to the alter. Since getting engaged on 7/16/08 I have been so happy and excited about planning our wedding! This blog is for my family, friends and the many strangers who I will graciously accept helpful information, ideas and encouragement from. This is only the beginning because our wedding date is not until March 27, 2010(my late fathers birthday). I chose this date because my father could not be here with me in the flesh, I will honor him by marrying on his birthday!

The reason for the name of my blog is because of my engagement ring. I have waited 8 years to get engaged. So throughout those eight years I sent hint after hint that I love Tocori jewelry, I love the handcrafted work on each ring. I also hinted that I love aquamarines, even though diamonds are a girls best friend, I love different and aquamarines have just always been my favorite. It is also my dads birthstone and we are getting married in March (how neat!) see the pattern?

I plan to write daily if possible but if I skip a day forgive me!!

Meet the Bride::

That's me, Jeana. I'm a country girl at heart but I love big city style. I was a cheerleader for 8 years, so I'm loud and outgoing. I'm addicted to anyhting that Michael Kors designs especially his jeans and purses. All the jeans that I own are MK I couldn't imagine wearing anything else. Oh and not to metion I have a shoe problem and I often have retail therapy, usually like once a week. Shhh don't tell my fiance because sometimes I hide shopping bags or put new clothes or shoes in the closet and pull the tag off like it had always been there, LOL. I work in the radio industry, I actually handle "traffic" (advertisements:order entry) for 3 of the 5 radio station that my boss owns. It's fun and never gets bored!!!

Meet the Groom::

This is Steven (or babe as I call him). He is just amazing I love him so much. He's athletic, he works out almost everyday. He has played baseball all his life, but what's weird is he can't stand to watch pro-bball on tv, I think it's funny. He likes to play computer games, I call him my little dorky gamer. Oh yeah and he eats breathes and sleeps Star Wars, lol, I love the nerd in him. He is a full-time student working toward his Bachelor's in Accounting with a minor in Business Management. I'm so proud of him, he's such a great father and our girls just adore him. We have been together for almost 10 years and we just never pressured each oher into marriage, we decided that time is a wasting so he popped the question 7/16/08, that were this blog picked up.
