D.I.Y:: Pocket Ceremony Programs
>> Tuesday, January 13, 2009
I love Jennifer Carroll Events, she is so talented and I hope to hire her company for my day-of coordinator. She has these super cute and super easy to make pocket programs. This will keep you from having to worry about your programs blowing away at your outside wedding. It can also just add some color to your ceremony site. The gorgeous photography is by the talented Jen Fariello.
For the pocket:
1 piece translucent paper cut to 5 1/2" x 11"
1 pair of scissors that have a decorative edge
Ribbon - recommend 1" size
exacto knife
double stick tape
For the program:
1 piece pale pink paper cut to 6 1/2" x 6 1/2"
1 piece pale green paper cut to 6 1/2" x 6 1/2"
Pocket Instructions:
First, fold the paper in half so that it is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" square. Unfold and on crease line, use the exacto knife to cut a 1 1/4" slit for the ribbon. Refold paper and place a piece of double stick tape on each folded edge to seal and create a pocket. Trim open edge of pocket with decorative edged scissors.
Program Instructions:
Format and print your program details on each page of the paper. Once your programs are printed, use double stick tape to attach the two sheets to each other to form one page.
Putting it all together:
Thread ribbon through pocket and around chair back. Place program inside pocket. Voila! A beautiful ceremony program that won't blow away in the wind.
